Strawberry Cheesecake Stuffed French Toast
Ingredients:
For the Filling:
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup diced strawberries
For the French Toast:
8 slices thick-cut bread
4 large eggs
1 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
Butter, for frying
For Serving:
Maple syrup
Additional diced strawberries
Powdered sugar (optional)
Instructions:
Prepare the Filling: Beat softened cream cheese until smooth. Mix in powdered sugar and vanilla, then fold in diced strawberries.
Make the Batter: Whisk eggs, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon in a shallow dish.
Assemble: Spread filling on 4 bread slices, top with remaining slices.
Cook: Heat butter in a skillet. Dip sandwiches in batter, cook until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
Serve: Top with syrup, strawberries, and powdered sugar if desired.
