Ingredients:
2 lbs beef sirloin, cut into 2-inch strips
¾ tsp garlic powder (or to taste)
3 tbsp vegetable oil
1 beef bouillon cube
¼ cup hot water
1 tbsp cornstarch
½ cup chopped onion
2 large green bell peppers, roughly chopped
1 (14.5 oz) can stewed tomatoes (with liquid)
3 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp white sugar
1 tsp salt
Instructions:
Season & Sear the Beef:
Sprinkle the beef sirloin strips with garlic powder. In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Sear the beef for about 5 minutes on each side until browned. Transfer the beef to your slow cooker.
Prepare the Bouillon Mixture:
Dissolve the beef bouillon cube in ¼ cup of hot water. Stir in the cornstarch until it fully dissolves. Pour this mixture over the beef in the slow cooker.
Add the Vegetables & Seasonings:
Add the chopped onions, green bell peppers, stewed tomatoes (with liquid), soy sauce, sugar, and salt to the slow cooker. Stir everything to combine.
Cook the Pepper Steak:
Cover and cook on High for 3 to 4 hours or on Low for 6 to 8 hours, until the beef is tender and the flavors meld beautifully.
Serve:
Once the pepper steak is done, serve it over rice or noodles for a comforting and flavorful meal.
