Ingredients:
1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced
1/4 cup cornstarch
1/4 cup vegetable oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
Sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions:
In a large bowl, toss the sliced steak with cornstarch until well-coated.
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the steak to the skillet and cook until crispy and browned, about 3-4 minutes per side.
Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Add red and green bell peppers, and cook until tender, about 3-4 minutes.
In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sweet chili sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar, sesame oil, and crushed red pepper flakes.
Pour the sauce over the vegetables and bring to a simmer.
Return the crispy beef to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the beef is heated through.
Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
